  • Aka Menn was born on Hapes in 10 ABY. She was the second cousin of future Hapan Queen Mother Tenel Ka. Menn was jealous of Tenel Ka's power, but never let it ruin their friendship. Menn remained loyal to Tenel Ka until 40 ABY. In 40 ABY, Corellian Head of State Dur Gejjen approached Menn and asked for her allegiance. Menn proposed that if she could be Queen Mother, he would pledge the Hapans allegiance. Gejjen agreed to kill Tenel Ka and place Aka Menn as the new Queen Mother. After a failed assassination attempt on Tenel Ka and her young daughter Allana, Tenel Ka and Allana left Hapes; Tenel Ka abdicated the throne. Aka Menn took Tenel Ka's place as Queen Mother and pledged allegiance to Dur Gejjen and the Corellians in the war against the Galactic Alliance.
