| - After watching a swastika appear in the chat without the perpetrator being kicked, I realize that despite however things may appear, we do not have enough chat moderators (provided they are trusted and don't abuse their tools, is it possible to have too many?). While I admittedly cannot claim to spend as much time in the chat as some editors, I believe I would make a suitable choice for a chat moderator because I possess good judgement, behave appropriately in conflict, and am familiar with our rules and policies, including those of [[Special:Chat]].

However, without being excessive, there are times when the chat seems to get out of hand, when chat moderators are busy or indifferent, or on occasion, when there are no chat moderators around. I've seen our user treatment policy broken several times by repeat offenders who will simply bring it back up ten minutes later. Thus, I'm nominating myself to become a chat moderator in hopes of furthering our on-site community. I, Hofmic, accept this nomination for chat moderator. I have read the policies concerning chat moderators. I realise that this nomination may fail. If I do get community consensus, I promise not to abuse my tools because I realise that this is a serious offence. If the community finds that I have done so, my tools will be revoked, and in extreme cases I could be given a community ban. Signed, Hofmic Talk 08:47, April 7, 2012 (UTC).
