The VC-2 assault bomber, commonly known as the Commerce Guild bomber, was a small air-to-surface and anti-capital ship starfighter. The bomber was easily recognized by its shape. It had a distinctive flat underside covered by a thin, slightly rounded top. Jutting out from the top deck was a long tail vane, similar to the N-1 starfighter. Following the execution of the Separatist Council by Darth Sidious's new apprentice, Darth Vader, these units were de-activated.

| - The VC-2 assault bomber, commonly known as the Commerce Guild bomber, was a small air-to-surface and anti-capital ship starfighter. The bomber was easily recognized by its shape. It had a distinctive flat underside covered by a thin, slightly rounded top. Jutting out from the top deck was a long tail vane, similar to the N-1 starfighter. In the middle of the lower part were three proton torpedo launchers, mainly used against capital ships. Within were three magazines that usually held 9 torpedos each. Behind the torpedo magazines was a cavernous bomb bay. Small but potent grenades and thermal detonators were often stuffed into the bay, but attachment points were also used for more controlled attacks. The bomb bay and torpedo magazines could be easily be modified to make for room for either one, to fit a role as a naval or planetary bomber. The bomber had been in Guild services before the Clone Wars. The Guild's assets were merged with others with the Battle of Geonosis, and the VC-2s were brought to many fronts. They were given CIS colors and were commonly operated by B1 battle droids during the war. Following the execution of the Separatist Council by Darth Sidious's new apprentice, Darth Vader, these units were de-activated.
