Jeremy Boulder was an early 19th Century doctor residing in Washington. He a large man with a great booming voice. He had studied under Benjamin Rush. After the Battle of Chippewa, Winfield Scott arranged for Boulder to care for Patrick Driscol. Driscol, who was familiar with the theories and techniques of Rush, agreed to go to Washington, but took great pains to avoid Boulder.
