Nicole Galtier O'Doull (b. 1894) was the eldest daughter of Lucien and Marie Galtier. She grew up on a Quebecois farm outside the small town of Riviere-du-Loup. During the Great War, the occupying United States Army established a hospital on her family's farm, and Nicole worked there as a nurse. There she met Dr. Leonard O'Doull, whom she married. The couple had one child, Lucien O'Doull, a boy named for Nicole's father. She was the only member of her family to have just one child.
