The Aust-class cruiser analog was a cruiser analog that served as the bulk of the Lefan Royal Navy around 8 ABY. Designed by the national Lefan Research Corporation and built by Lefan Imperial Arms, it was a flexible multi-role platform designed to engage cruisers and frigates while being capable of defending against starfighter attack. Powerful communications and jamming systems were also installed on the analog, which meant that it could reduce an enemy's coordination capability while bolstering friendly units' communications and could send steady reports. The ship first saw use in the Lefan-CNAP War, where large numbers of it were deployed by the Lefan navy. It fared well against Confederate Recusants and could survive against larger ships for a time, but after the tide turned in the Confederation's favor, many were destroyed until the peace was signed.
