Salford-born Jim Whelan started his career in the amateur theatre and repertory of Oldham, having gone on to appear in some of the most iconic programmes on British television over the past four decades. On Coronation Street he has played five minor roles: * A Customer in March 1973 * Reverend Pike in February 1993 * A Postman in August 1995 and January 1996 * An unnamed Vicar in February 2004, August & October 2007 and 2008. * Reverend Todd in October 2008. In July 2011 his autobiography entitled "What a Life!" was published.
