Chairman market gardeners H. & A. Pullen Burry, Ltd. of Sompting, West Sussex; JP (Middlesex, 1897); CB (1931); KCB (1935); Deputy Lieutenant (Middlesex, 1918); High Sheriff (Middlesex, 1905). Union Club (site now home to Canada House, Trafalgar Square). 14 children. His second but eldest surviving son Edmund lived his last 33 years at Bourne House, East Woodhay.
