The Battle of Drina took place in the 10th century. The Magyars, led by Kisa (Kiš) invaded and started raiding the Bosnia region. Prince Časlav (927-960) assembled an army and the two fought along the river banks of the Drina (downstreams from Foča), Kisa was killed and the Serbs came out victorious. The widow of Kisa begged the Magyar King to send an army to revenge his death, and the two would fight against, at the Battle of Srem (modern Mačva).
