Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, Chong was drafted into military service in 1959, one year after graduating from college. After moving to California in 1969, Chong began his Hollywood career as a stunt rider for the 1973 musical/fantasy film, Lost Horizon, starring Sally Kellerman.   • Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, Chong was drafted into military service in 1959, one year after graduating from college. He went on to work on hundreds of other films and television shows, ultimately becoming the first Asian-American to become an invited member of the Stuntmen's Association of Motion Pictures. He did stunt work for such films as Rambo: First Blood Part II, Big Trouble in Little China, The Running Man, Predator 2, Batman Forever, Dante's Peak, Godzilla, Blade, Traffic, Swordfish, Jonathan Frakes' Clockstoppers, Austin Powers in Goldmember, Daredevil, The Italian Job and The Last Samurai. He also had small stunt acting roles in films like Lethal Weapon 4 (also featuring Jack Kehler and Richard Riehle) and The Wedding Planner. Chong married his long-time girlfriend, Stephanie Page, on 16 March 1994. Nearly thirteen years later, Chong died of a heart attack at the age of 70.
