  • Headcrabs, derisively called "headhumpers" by Barney Calhoun and known as "parasitics" and "biotics" by the Combine, are omnivorous, parasitic creatures. They are widely considered one of the most iconic creatures of the Half-Life series.
  • Headcrabs are cat-sized, crab-like (or perhaps tick-like) creatures. They come from Xen, but there are some subspecies that are not indigenous to that region.; rather, most of these subspecies live on Earth. All headcrabs have the ability to infect hosts by opening the host's head and driving its spinal cord through the victim's head, connecting it to the victim's spine, which allows the headcrab to control the victim. If the host is still partially alive and half aware to what has happened to him, less it be combine, played backwards the standard headcrab zombie's screams of pain are interpreted correctly as him calling for help.
  • that is neither crab nor zombie in the Half-Life video game series created by Valve Software. They are the most numerous and arguably most iconic aliens in the series. They are also sometimes referred to as "headhumpers" by Barney Calhoun and some of the citizens in the game.

  • Headcrabs (Possidere omnisvostrumcorpusisticadtigiutus, literally "possess all your body are belong to us") are a minion created by Darktan to brainwash neutral and good guys. They are crabs with a large, shut hole, which open when they latch on to a victim.
  • These are horny creatures who hump heads. No one knows why they hump heads instead humping each other. Scientists have concluded that all headcrabs are females that evolved and started humping heads after all the males disappeared after a humping spree.
