His extensive credits also includes such epic feature films as The Ten Commandments (featuring Dame Judith Anderson, Lawrence Dobkin, and Michael Ansara), Spartacus (featuring Jean Simmons, Peter Brocco, John Hoyt, and Seamon Glass), Robert Wise's The Sand Pebbles, and The Poseidon Adventure, as well as such science fiction classics as Planet of the Apes, Logan's Run, Escape from New York, and Back to the Future. Janes passed away on 24 June 2017 at the age of 85. [1]
