Waist Deep is a 2006 action film directed by Vondie Curtis-Hall. It is a loose remake of Bonnie and Clyde. Otis (Tyrese Gibson) is an ex-con in southern Los Angeles, also known as "02" due to his prior ability to vanish from a crime scene like oxygen. Having been released, he has decided to try and go straight for the sake of his son, Junior (played by director Vondie's son Henry Hunter Hall). Alas, one day while driving Junior home from school Otis is carjacked whilst Junior is asleep in the back street. Junior winds up in the hands of Big Meat (Jayceon "Game" Taylor), a vicious local ganglord and Otis' former partner in crime.
