He played two games for the World Hockey Association (WHA)'s Cleveland Crusaders in 1973-74. The next year he became a regular with the San Diego Mariners of the WHA. He scored a high 90 points with the Mariners in 1975-76. But his production dropped in 1976-77 and Adduono found himself in the minors in 1978-79. He retired in 1980. In his WHA career, Adduono scored 42 goals and 152 assists in 221 games.
