Shadow Kirby was once an ordinary, pink ball named Kirby. He was a videoshame character who appeared in multiple shames. Then, one day, he was fighting his two arch-enemies, Master Hand and Crazy Hand. After a long and grueling fight, he ate them (What? He was hungry). This caused him to transform into Shadow Kirby.

Al final se da cuenta de que era lo contrario y le da a Kirby la Espada Master para vencer a Dark Mind. En el modo de Combate Kirby de Kirby: Triple Deluxe aparece como oponente final.
