| - Jack the Red was the leader of a notorious band of pirates that plagued the Andris region in the year 434. Big Jack, as his men called him, was a fearsome warrior. He wielded a magical katana of immense power, and was not loathe to use it when pillaging the Red City. Big Jack had big aspirations, and became unsatisfied with small-scale raids. Under the dancing moon, he and his crew launched an attempt to capture the city. Using large quantities of explosive dust, they breached the northern wall and came pouring in. Somehow, in the thick of battle, Jack was cut off from his men. The defenders of Andris quickly took advantage of the situation and surrounded the captain. Jack put up a good fight, but his opponents were too many. As the captain drew his dying breath, he swore that he would someday return. The battle was far from over, though. Countless waves of privateers came to avenge their fallen captain, while another force of privateers laid siege to the east gate. But they were weakened without their leader, and the invasion was repelled. While the death of Big Jack was an important victory for Andris, it was not enough to break up the pirate’s crew. The remaining members banded together under the leadership of the Witch Doctor and continued to harass Andris. Meanwhile, the ghost of Jack began to haunt his old ship. Perhaps because they feared the wrath of the dead captain, the reformed crew set out to recover Big Jack's katana, kidnapping Senator Fieltler in the process. Eventually, after many moons of tense negotiations with Andris, the pirates recovered the katana, and neither it nor Jack were heard of again. It is uncertain if Jack ever returned to the living, or if he even stopped haunting his old crew. One theory is that the katana was needed to resurrect Jack. And if this theory were true, then it is entirely possible that Jack still sails the seas today.
