  • * This is Family Guys first Thanksgiving episode. * This is the second time the role of Kevin Swanson has been recast. He was initially voiced by Two and a Half Mens Jon Cryer, then taken over by series creator Seth MacFarlane, and is now played by American Dad!'s Scott Grimes. * Having been born while he was deployed in Iraq, Susie finally meets her older brother in this episode. * Peter's flashbacks are parodied in this episode when his thought process can't put together the appropriate cutaway gag. * Brian identifies Ida as the one who had the same combat experience as Kevin. However, Brian has been under fire in Iraq with Stewie in "Saving Private Brian" and Carter served in the army in the war against Alaska as revealed in "Welcome Back, Carter". * Friendly-fire victim Pat Tillman is mentioned again when Peter claims that he lied about his death. Meg testified about her father killing Pat while in the army in "Stewie Kills Lois", and Tom Tucker does a segue to a story about Tillman being tackled by his own team in the previous week's episode. * This is the first episode where Carol starts the episode still attached to her previous husband. In "Emission Impossible", Ted had just left her. In "Brothers & Sisters", her divorce from Jason was finalized. * In the "Pilot Pitch", Quahog 5 was actually located at channel 6, and was where Tom, then named Mike, and Diane initially worked. In this episode, it is revealed that channel 6 is still a news station for Quahog. * Stewie makes reference to the events of "Quagmire's Dad" when he discusses Brian's reaction to discovering that Ida was once a man. * Peter confuses Benedict Arnold, the well-known traitor of the American Revolution, with Arnold Drummond, the main character from Diff'rent Strokes. But no cutaway depicting that was shown as seen in the bullet point above. * This is one of the rare instances where Stewie calls Lois "Mom" instead of her real name. * The "Fuzzy Door Productions" logo does not appear in the end credits. * Susie watches The Human Centipede. * Even though it is shown raining at the Quahog Thanksgiving Day Parade, the first shot of the Griffins' house does not show any sign of rain outside.
