A character starts with an ability score of 8 in each of his six abilities, and then draws upon a pool of 32 points to raise these abilities. However, as an ability score is raised to exceptional levels, it becomes more expensive to raise further, as per the following chart:

These include moves inherent to a Duel Avatar, such as Silver Crow's «Punch» and Black Lotus' Terminate Sword's brandish. Certain Enhanced Armaments may have this type of Ability as well. For example, Cyan Pile's ability «Perforation» is a fuel system for his Pile Driver. These can be learned via level-up bonuses or in the midst of combat.
  • Abilities are characteristic to a pokemon that cause special effects during battles, be it beneficial or negative. Each pokemon has three abilities to choose and switch off-battle. Abilities are class specific and listed below: __TOC__
  • Robots: Cossack, Rogatka and Griffin This ability propels the robot into the air. Each robot's jump distance is pre-set (with the Cossack’s being the shortest and Griffin’s being the longest) and cannot be changed. While jumping, robots travel much faster than their walking speed (this speed boost only lasts as long as the jump). Jump allows a robot to quickly gain an advantageous position, jump over obstacles, retreat, or dodge missiles. One important point to note is that the robot is stationary for a second after completing the jump and landing on the ground.
  • Abilities is a basic command found in Breath of Fire III.
