  • The catapult is a war machine in Heroes of Might and Magic I, Heroes II, Heroes III, Heroes V, and Heroes VI. • This unit can destroy buildings. Catapults are most effectively used later in the game to target an opponent's farm. This is because farm levels are costly to build and take a long time to upgrade. When you lower the level of the opponents farm, this forces them to first rebuild their farm before doing anything else since they do not have enough population to build anything with. Since the farm take such a long time to rebuild you will likely either have nobled the target or have cleared all his troops. This tactic can prove to backfire on you since when you noble the village you will have to rebuild the farm ny yourself before doing anything else. This will leave you vunerable to enemy attack.

  • The Catapult is the slowest Mech in the Heavy class, having a top speed of 20 Mph, the Catapult is slow, and not very manuverable. To make up for this, the Catapult has the longest lasting JumpJets in both of the MechAssault games, being able to fly for well over 10 seconds. The Catapult only comes equiped with 2 weapon sets, Energy and Missiles. Carrying quad Pulse Lasers for close range engagements and quad Javelin Missiles for long range fights. The Catapult should be viewed as a support Mech and not used in direct engagements with other Mechs. Very good as artillery or sniping with the rockets, the pulse lasers can be used when the jump jets are being used at close range to take advantage of it's long air time.

Although the catapult has been used since ancient times, it has proven to be one of the most effective mechanisms during warfare. The word 'catapult' comes from the Latin 'catapulta', which in turn comes from the Greek καταπέλτης (katapeltēs), itself from (kata), "downwards" + πάλλω (pallō), "to toss, to hurl". Though cumbersome and nearly useless on the battlefield, the catapult was an effective weapon for siege operations.

  • Casting Time: 1 action Range: 60 feet Components: S Duration: Instantaneous Choose one object weighing 1 to 5 pounds within range that isn’t being worn or carried. The object flies in a straight line up to 90 feet in a direction you choose before falling to the ground, stopping early if it impacts against a solid surface. If the object would strike a creature, that creature must make a Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, the object strikes the target and stops moving. When the object strikes something, the object and what it strikes each take 3d8 bludgeoning damage.

That creature must make a will saving throw DC:15+ Strength modifier or be moved adjacent to you. The creature also takes normal damage as well as 1d6 force damage per level (Max 20d6). A successful saving throw halves the damage and you are not moved. If the creature fails it's saving throw, make a single attack against any creature within 60 feet, this cannot be the same creature as the initial attack. If the attack hits, deal double damage to the target and move the initial target to that creature's square. It takes 1/2 of the damage you just dealt to the secondary target. Both targets gain a reflex
  • In RPG Maker 2003, Rockfall is a regular earth-elemental damaging skill, although it is not available by default to any class or the default characters. Tier 2 is however used by the Cyclops enemy, representing its propably actually very un-magic tossing of rocks at player characters. Like with all elements from RPG Maker 2003, is not known wether Don Miguel's translation of the japanese original names is in any way accurate or consistent with RPG Maker and RPG Maker 2000 or subsequent RPG Makers (subsequent versions have an 'official' translation). A Catapult can only fire in one direction: forward, having a very limited arc of fire. It is completely immobile and may not turn.
