Elmer Kenneth Strong, Jr. (April 21, 1906 – October 5, 1979) was a college and professional American football player. After a college career as multi-year All-American at New York University, he went on to play professional football. As a halfback with a 14-year career he played from 1929–1937, 1939, (interrupted by war service) 1944-1947. He played for the Staten Island Stapletons and New York Giants, both of the National Football League, and the New York Yankees of the second American Football League.

  • Ken Strong (born May 9, 1963 in Toronto, Ontario) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player. He played 15 games in the NHL with the Toronto Maple Leafs. He played junior hockey for the Peterborough Petes from 1981 to 1983 and was chosen 58th overall by the Philadelphia Flyers in the 1981 NHL Entry Draft. The Flyers sent him to the Toronto Maple Leafs in 1982 as part of the Darryl Sittler trade. He played in Austria until his retirement in 1997, except for 1994-95 when he played for HC Gardena in Italy.
