In informal settings, Brigadier Generals are typically referred to simply as "General". A Brigadier General may be also referred to as a "one-star General" to distinguish it from the other ranks of General; so named for the one star rank insignia worn on the uniform. Gurei Shishous were given this rank if they were deemed worth of the responsibility that the rank came with. If a Gurei Shishou was given the rank of Brigadier General it was normally with the command of a Regiment. Gin Shishou were more normally given this rank, with the command of a Regiment, normally dedicated military Brigadier Generals were in command of Brigades. Vincent Mikaru II was given the rank of Brigadier General when he first joined the Templars. He was given command of the 17th Marine Regiment, the same as his Ancestor, earning the Regiment the nickname Legacy Regiment.
