| - The Ikki clan is a famous family of swordsman and warriors who are known for their great skill and discipline. Many members are spread out and don't interact with each other, but many pockets of close family members exist. Notable members of this clan include brothers Aokimaru Ikki and Jorimachi Ikki, their ancestor Mizuki Ikki, and the mercenary Chozu Ikki. The family began in a time of unrest: The First Shinobi War. Mizuki Zhuo, a young Kunoichi of the largely unimpressive farming family Zhuo, decided to join the fight. Her parents, who didn't approve of her going to war, disowned her. Unfazed, she went to battle. She became famous for her undying bravery in the face of death, and for her ability as a horseman. She became known as Ikki, which means One Horseman. She adopted this as her family name. She then married a Kumogakure shinobi by the name of L. Since then, her family became renowned for their considerable skills with blades of any kind, and they created and passed down a Kekkei Genkai known as Wind Style: Wind Blade Jutsu, which is naturally learned by any generation of the clan. Recently, members of the Ikki clan are known as "Blades of Wind", with individuals named for an animal they have come to be associated with.
