Marthix is the easternmost town in the Xalar Empire. It is situated at the western edge of Three Army Pass, just past (and guarding) Xeodan's Gate. It is one of the starting points for the Treaty Road (or Trade Road) between the Xalar Empire, the Illigyr nation of Xiltir, and the Great Neck Empire. Marthix is the original home of Emir Berthan, and is currently ruled by his sister, Lady Miriliss. It is a large town, and because of its military importance, well defended.
