Alexander Henry Melvill Wedderburn (1 July 1892 - 23 December 1968) was a barrister, justice of the peace and politician. Born in London, he was educated at the University of Oxford, rowed in the Oxford XII in 1912 and 1913 and was President of the Oxford Union in 1914. During the First World War he served in the Black Watch, reaching the rank of captain. From 1919-36 he practised as a barrister. From 1931-34 he was a Municipal Reform Party member of the London County Council representing Kensington South.
