Sorenson sung in a style similar to Paul Anka and Neil Sedaka, and the final take of the song took place in June 1962. Released that summer, it became Sorenson's big hit, a minor success in the United States but big in Lovia. It was released by Label Records in Lovia and Majestät in Insel.
