As Tu'verana settled into her new office, she glanced down at a holophoto of her father. Painful memories of the past, hammered her hard as she sat down at her desk. The most recent was the passing of her mother, but as she knew her father to be, she wouldn't be that way for very long. Also having to witness her father's execution on Curava had shaken her. She glanced at the photo again, remembering the instructions that Tarakus had given her. "Remember to prepare Natasi for Richon's, Harlan's and my arrivals. Both of us will linger on Coruscant while you gently nudge her schedule to fit us in. Brief her on her important visitors, and inform her about our military careers without giving it away that it's us, ok?" "I will, Dad." Moving back to the present, Tu'verana set the photo down on he

  • As Tu'verana settled into her new office, she glanced down at a holophoto of her father. Brief her on her important visitors, and inform her about our military careers without giving it away that it's us, ok?" "I will, Dad." Moving back to the present, Tu'verana set the photo down on her desk and hid it clearly so that if Daala did take a peek at the Dragon's desk, the photo wouldn't be seen. At that moment, Natasi Daala walked in, looking highly flustered. "So, you're the new girl?" Daala asked, trying to shove whatever was concerning her, out of her mind. Tu'verana cracked a toothy smile and said, "Yes, the name's Carmadaline. Elvat Carmadaline." "Ah...a newbie from the Mudara Galaxy, I believe, correct?" Daala said, glancing at the turquoise scaled hand that shook her own. "Yes. Most of my species is from the Mudara Galaxy. There are a few who are from here." Tu'verana clarified for Daala. "Well, that's brilliant. I've looked at your background, and you have a very bright Military record, as a fighter pilot, and as an Intelligence Agent for the Black Commander Corps. No doubt that Vapthes-Deadmerit gave you his highest remarks." Daala said, speaking of Tu'verana's father with a slightly mocking tone. Tu'verana ignored the jab at her father, saying, "Yes. He did. I wouldn't be a Colonial if I didn't work hard for it." "Well, I am glad to have another brilliant young officer in my staff. It's very refreshing to have a BCC uniform here in this office for once. All this white tends to bore me after awhile. So, what do I have on my schedule?" Tu'verana moved back behind her desk and handed Daala an updated itinerary. "As you can see, I've scheduled three dignitaries from the Empire, the Tristchanian Empire and the Black Commander Corps to see you in a few days. They would like to discuss a new treaty, and a possible reacceptance into the Galactic Alliance, if it's possible." "Highly distinguished military careers, I see. I look forward to see these gentlemen." Daala said, smiling at Tu'verana, though Tu'verana picked up some rather poisonous thoughts behind the smile. "As do I, ma'am." She replied. - - - - - -Coruscant, Mordelas Hotel Laying down in a luxury bed, Tarakus tipped his head into the pillow, and gazed up at the ceiling of the hotel room that he and Richon were sharing. They knew that Harlan was in the next room. "When is Tu'verana going to check in with you?" Richon anxiously asked Tarakus. "She will. From what I heard from her earlier, we're to see Natasi in a few days." Tarakus replied, assurance backing his voice. "I hope so. I don't want anything getting out of hand with this operation." "Don't worry. It won't." "Whenever. From what I heard from her earlier, we're to see Natasi in a few days." Tarakus replied, assurance backing his voice. "I hope so. I don't want anything getting out of hand with this operation." "Don't worry. It won't." "Sounds reassuring. This coming from one half of Bar Traskaow, one of the most terrifying Dragons and possibly one of the most frightening in the entire Universe...I am highly reassured of that!" "Ahh...That happened 26 years ago, Richon. There is nothing to worry about now. Remus Von Krath has reverted to Kiro Vapthes again, and Prime and I split after the Everserdi Crisis, and then Prime died to preserve his sanity. That's why he's dead. I don't plan on reviving him at this time." Richon lifted his head from his pillow. "We need Prime, more than you realize. We may even need Bar Traskaow again...I sense that we may be up against something much worse than Von Krath...A being that's ancient, but not too ancient. One hellbent on being a God or Goddess." Tarakus looked at Richon, a smirk on his face. "Don't get too bent outta shape, Richon. You're already bent enough."
