| - This story was originally posted on Blogger. republished in StarStory 2015 On December 11, 2013 Michael's probation officer questioned me about an anonymous report that someone had sent to the Department of Public safety. I know who the informant was. And, I am eternally grateful for their help… Someone had seen Michael attempting to push me from a moving golf cart .more than one concerned citizen reported this suspicious activity. Mike excused his behavior as we were horsing around. This was true, in part. He was laughing when he said he wanted to see my fat ass bounce and roll across the pavement made his motive more suspicious. Because there was no argument, no fighting, or anger involved I agreed with Michael and said the incident was nothing more than horse play. Part 2 of the Anonymous Report I could not so easily excuse away the questions posed by the FBI and the US Marshall. I had no idea Mike knew how to construct a pipe bomb. I had no suspicion he had discussed this with anyone in the county jail or any where else. Until the Marshall, the agent, and Mike opened my eyes; I had blindly said Michael lacks the intelligence to construct any such device. I now know he does. He has done so in the past. What frightens me; is I know he will construct other such devices in the future. The other questions these men had to ask were a reply of old accusations from the time Michael spent in jail. He made some vague threats then and he continues to make the same vague unnamed victim threats against the city, the county, the state, the Deputy District Attorney, his wife, and family. Michael made verbal threats against the sheriff and threats to blow up the Sheriff’s office and county Jail. The moment the Federal Agents begun questioning him Michael should have invoked his Fifth Amendment Privileges He should have said nothing. No, Michael chose to lie. He complicated one felony with another. What he said was said in the presence of three witnesses, including me. Those statements could and would be used against him should any of this go to court. I am not surprised that someone has heard Michael making threats to derail an Am Track train as it comes through Love lock. I know Mike thrives on the chaos and confusion the derailment would cause. I do not see how the notoriety he envisions would expose the corruptness he imagines exists in this town. I see the loss of innocent life the derailment would cause. I see the massive injuries to innocent men, women, and children all who have done nothing to Michael; all who did nothing more than board a train to a destination. I am sure this has not entered Mike's thoughts. I see the survivors of the derailment being housed in the limited motel space available. I see the vacant motels all reopening to accommodate the numerous agents sent to investigate the "Accident” Then if they prove terrorism; there will be more agents, more law enforcement personnel descending On our tiny town. What he meant for harm will in the end be the economic revival of this dying hamlet. I am positive Mike hasn't thought about this. I am surprised that after being told lying to a federal agent was a felony Mike continued to lie. Then on the other side of this, I do not blame him .The Federal agents know someone in Mike's position will lie. If the agents are as intelligent as they appear to be; they know the suspect will lie. Even convicted felons have the protection from self incrimination the 5th Amendment provides
