It was not only an attack on America, but on the free world. The US President at the time, George Walker Bush, claimed Osama bin Laden responsible along with his Al Qaeda network. The US went to war in Afghanistan and later Iraq to rid the world against Islamic extremists. Although we don't agree with some of Mr. Bush's actions, our world is more safer than our lives more secure. But threats of nuclear and biological attacks are always present. The threats will always be present. America's job in Iraq is over, but the teaching of Iraqi Security Forces has begun. The War in Afghanistan still lingers but is expected to end by next year. The hunt for Bin Laden is still on, whether he is dead or alive. But regardless of the enemies, and whether they are captured and defeated, the memories and the scar they left on America, on the world, and on how we govern ourselves as micronations cannot be erased. So on this day, September 11th, let us remember the victims and brave souls who tried to stop the inevitable, the brave men and women who tried to rescue so many others at their expense, and the people who fight for freedom.
