Rowe played two years of Junior "B" with Markham in the Ontario Hockey Association from 1940 to 1942 and then played Junior "A" with the Toronto Marlboros and the Montreal Junior Royals until 1944. He also played both military and senior hockey from 1942 to 1946. In 1946-47 Rowe played for the Boston Olympics and then joined the New York Rangers in 1947-48, playing in five games and scoring a goal. He played the rest of the season for the New York Rovers. From 1953 to 1957 he played for the senior Pembroke Lumber Kings and then retired.
