  • A divine domain is a specific area of interest for deities. A cleric of a particular deity must choose two of the deity's domains to focus upon, and gains access to extra spells within those domains. A deity can have as many or as few domains as it pleases, although it is usual to have at least four. Some domains naturally oppose one another, such as evil and good, or chaos and law. A cleric must conform to the alignment requirements in order to focus on these domains, even if his or her deity has them.
