The pirates engaged the Scarlet Moon Imperial Navy often; the leader of the pirates, Anji, even became so bold as to pin a wedding dress to the walls of Shasarazade in order to mock General Sonya Shulen's unmarried status. Following the creation of the Toran Republic, however, Anji and most of the other pirates in his lost their taste for piracy, choosing instead to abandon their hideout and create an honest business.
