"C'mon. Get closer to them. Let's go." muttered Jak to himself as he watched as S-3PO approach the lifeforms. He discovered that they were also humans, as he was watching from the lower emergency hatch and could see them much clearer. "Inspect the ship" Jak heard, and he saw seven squads of men run towards him. He hurriedly closed the hatch. A soldier with a green camoflauged uniform approached the hatch. As fast as he could, he opened it, grabbed the soldier, pulled him inside, and shut the hatch so fast that no one saw him. "Yes sir." "Sergeant, where were you?" assked the soldier behind him.

"They're humans! They're humans! Oh my Gosh! God, have mercy! I never did any thing bad to my mother or father, or my brother, or anybody!" Jak repeatedly shushed him and beckoned to his mouth, but the soldier didn't care. "How is this possible? They're humans! From space! I don't feel so good." and then the soldier fainted. "Finally. Chall, get his uniform off. Give him onne of mine. I'm going out there. "Yes sir." Finally, Jak got the clothes to fit him. As fast as he'd closed it, he opened the hatch so that nobody saw him. "Troops, fall in!" he heard a call. As all the other soldiers fell into a line and marched back, Jak followed them. "Sergeant, where were you?" assked the soldier behind him. "Oh, I was...uh... looking at some tubes and machinery on the ship" he said, after quickly spooting the hyperdrive system nearby. "Better report that to the General, Sergeant." said the soldier as he marched past Jak. "I will!" he called. Jak spotted an opening to the exterior of the crater. It was also a spot where no one was looking at. Quickly, when no one was looking at him, he darted there. From there he calmly walked up the crater, saying hello to many of the soldiers. Finally, he got to the outside of the crater, and jumped into a groundcar with a large star on it and writing in the High Galactic Alphabet which read: United States Army 307E 82AB 2049113288 S. "Now, how do you work this thing?" he said. "Aha!" He was looking at some keys on the ground. He tried inserting them everywhere, but finally, he found a spot next to a wheel and it worked. Jak gunned the engines and sped away. Jackson Long was walking down Main Street of his very small town. Sure, it had over 35,000 people in it, not including the University students, but for some reason, all the adults called it small and didn't want to live there. He was proud of his little town, and what made him prouder was that a metorite had just crashed outside the town, close to the Wheatman's corn farm. Their son had been going to school with him since 2nd Grade, and he hadn't seen him or his parents since the crash. The town was certainly becoming larger, or at least, more people were coming to it, and, almost immediately after the crash, he had seen United States Army tanks, vehicles, and men flocking through the streets, as wwel as a few foreign units. So far he had seen a squad of British, five Canadians, three Mexicans, and two Cubans. He had wanted to see it, but the officials kept making up diferent stories about it, and he diddn't know which one to believe, or if he should even believe in one of then. Just then, his A+ history report on the Sullivan Brothers flew out of his backpack and into a dark alley. Jackson ran into it, but the paper was nowhere to be seen. Just then he heard a strange hovering sound above him, and he looked up. A flying robot with many arms was hold in the paper, and then inserted it into a tube in its body. Then it flew away. Stunned, Jackson ran all the to his home on the far side of town. His mother wasn't there, and his father was in Chicago for business, so he turned on the Internet on his own Toshiba laptop he had gotten for Christmas last year. Suddenly, he heard a screech and a thud in the drive way. He looked out the window and saw an old, banged up, U.S. Army jeep. "Who's there? What do ya want?" he yelled through the now open window. Then the door bell rang. "Oh, now what?" he muttered to himself as he walked towards the door. When he opened it, he saw a man in a U.S. army uniform, but it was the old style ones they had worn since World War II. Apart from the uniform, he didn't look at all like a U.S. army soldier. "Hi," said Jackson, "What do you want? Hospitality? Food? Just name it." He was surprised that he was naming all these things to a man he didn't even know. "Hello," said the man."I'm...uh... I'm Jack Tarkof. Can I use your Holonet tranceiver, if you have one? I wouldn't want to be any trouble." "You mean Internet? Don't you have that at your base?" "Well, yeah, I guess. But it's all used up." Jackson sighed. "Sure. Just don't go on any sites that look like they have a virus. I just reprogrammed it. I'm going to watch Star Wars, if you don't mind." "Sure" "Are you one of those Russians that came over here after World War II? 'Cause your name kind of implies...." "Actually, I'm Corellian. You can never taste better Muja fruit anywhere else, mixed with Charbote root and Vweilu nut. And If you drink Corellian brandy with it its just perfect....." he said as his voice trailed off. "Let me guess, some new European balkan country?" "Never mind" There was a long silence. "Uh, just inquiring, what planet is this?" "Um, it's Earth, in the Middle Rim of the Milky Way. What exactly was your grade in astronomy, or do you just have memory loss?" "My grade in astronomy was an Aurek+, although when I was twelve I joined Kota's Militia, so I didn't have a lot of education. You know, he's one of those weird old Hedi or whatever from the Republic. But here I am, as smart as a Bith." "Riiiggght." Just then, the movie started. The Star Wars theme blasted out of the speakers, and the logo popped up with the opening crawl. "Star Wars Episode IV A New Hope?" Jack said, reading the opening crawl. "Hey this is a historical document! This stuff was about a year ago! How do you guys have this stuff on tape, being an Outland Farming Colony. Plus, how'd you get them during the war?" Jackson was seriously starting to get freaked out now. First the meteorite, now this? "We're not an Outland Farming Colony. What war?" Jack grinned."Dude, the biggest hippie in the galaxy knows the there's a war going on, y'now, between the Alliance and the Empire...." he said, as his voice trailed off and he read the crawl. "During the battle, Rebel spies managed to steal secret plans to the Empire's ultimate weapon, the DEATH STAR, an armored space station with enough power to destroy an entire planet? You did know this! How did you get to film the Tantive IV? Were you permitted on the ship?" "This is all science-fiction. The way George Lucas filmed that is he used small models of each ship with a matte behind him. Suddenly, sumething in Jack's body began vibrating. "Is that your phone?" asked Jackson. "If it's private I can go." "No, it's ok." said Jack as he took it out of his pocket. There stood a hologram of two people. "Jak, we need you back at the ship. Now! We have probe droids out. You don't need to be there, where ever you are." said the figure on the left. "Chall, it's going to be harder getting in than it was to get out. I can't. Besides, I'm already residing in one of the locals homes. He looks quite friendly." said Jack, glancing at Jackson. "Jak, please, do it for me. Promise me you'll get back here. For me." "Sorry, Carda. I miss you so much, but I can't do it. I promise I'll see you again, alive." "Ok." they both said. "See you Jak." "Bye." As the hologram turned off Jak noticed that Jackson was staring at him in amazement. "Girlfriend." he simply said. Jackson's suspicions had been confirmed. Jak Tar was from outer space.
