The Sol sector was a sector that was located within the Mid Rim region of the galaxy, specifically amongst the freestanding sub-sectors. Planets in this sector include Oshion, Rulara and Opreon. The sector was not represented in the Galactic Senate nor was it a part of the Galactic Republic, instead having its own legislative body: the Sol Council. Their seat on this council was filled by such individuals as Garrett Shepard, Steven Shepard and later Zur Cen. The sector's main trade route was the Oceanic Run and its main trading partner was with the sectors of the Codia system.

- Astrographically, the Sol Sector is bordering Gemini Sector, Vega Sector, Hawking Sector and Enigma Sector. It is divided to Petrov Quadrant, Terra Quadrant (which contains Sol and Earth), Vearrier Quadrant and Roan Quadrant. The Sol Sector was firstly colonized by Pilgrims or perhaps the Tri-System humanoids who expanded from the Sol system. The Scylla anomaly gave access to the Vega Sector.

- The Sol Sector is a region of space containing the star and primary sub-location known as Sol and all of its many worlds plus all of there satellites Including Earth plus a still to be discovered planet Rupurt somepere beyond Neptune in the trans netunian region of the Sol system. In addition to Sol theres also all stars within a radius of 10 to 50 lightyears which may or may not include Vega which is the nearest major star in terms of size and figurative importance meaning even though Sol is a small star it still has the location of the Spacefaring Humans and soon to be starfaring meaning able to travel using warp tech to other major stars relatively easy. but star faring will have to be a scifi dream for now unless Flying Saucer technology can be aquired and fited into Earthling Cruisers
