Macey McHenry was a new student at the beginning of LYKY and the Gallagher Academy is the last chance she has of staying in a prep school. The main reason Macey decides to stay is that her parents will not know what she is really learning. Initially, Macey is not accepted into the academy because of her attitude, illustrated by the fact that Bex puts her in a headlock without being punished by the other girls, instead, she was accepted because she is a descendant of Gillian Gallagher. She takes the fourth place and final place in Cammie’s dorm, minorly upsetting the other girls because of their loss of space (including their bean bag corner) and her general behavior. She is more accepted when she helps Cammie, Liz, and Bex decode Josh’s boy behavior due to her greater experience with boys
