Long Kai is a powerful Mogu Sorcerer who was mentored by Shan Kien. Long Kai was a Mogu who was once part of The Korune Clan under the service of Lei Shen, The Thunder King. | - Long Kai is a powerful Mogu Sorcerer who was mentored by Shan Kien. Long Kai was a Mogu who was once part of The Korune Clan under the service of Lei Shen, The Thunder King. During the age of The Mogu Empire Long Kai had aided his Warlord Shan Kien along with other Korune Spellweavers to create a powerful artifact. A bell cast from the maker's flesh, shaped by stars' fire, and bound by the breath of darkest shadow, given to Lei Shen to gain his favor. Long Kai was majorly interested in The Sha, and used what he learned from his Clan to summon forth wicked manifestations and use this dark energy against opponents. One day a mighty Black Cloud Serpent rose from behind the mountains, and Long Kai, the first of his clan to see the powerful Serpent took his chance to test his power upon the serpent, ending it's life with The Sha energies he mastered. Long Kai claimed the spirit of The Serpent as his own through the art of Spiritbinding, imbuming his garments with the cloud serpent's spirit for protection. After this battle, Long Kai gained the title The Black Dragon. Later after the fall of Lei Shen the clans fell back into their old traditions, and The Korune went into hiding. When the horde kidnapped The Korune Clan Leader Shan Kien and later on stole The Divine Bell from it's ancient ruins, Long Kai was angered and deemed the Clan useless and defeated without their leader and took a handful of his fellow Korune aswell as many of The Korune scrolls, artifacts and knowledge, leaving behind their Clan, who decided to await the return of their leader, although Long Kai had long assumed that Shan Kien will never return. Eventually, after a long time Long Kai led a full scale attack upon the three weakened Mogu Clans that had recently been defeated at Mogu'shan with the aid of his Krasari allies, winning more warriors for his clan. Knowing it would be foolish to take over Mogu'shan, Long Kai retreated back into Krasarang Wilds. With his victory his group of renegade Korune were now dubbed The Jin Kai and he claimed the title of Warlord. Now in more recent times Long Kai is preforming experiments inolving Spiritbinding, Flesh-shaping and Sha Energies, and rumors go that he is planning on resurrecting the very Cloud Serpent he once had slain.
