  • Benediction is the White Mage special job ability in Final Fantasy XI. Benediction is an ultimate form of cure for a party. It will instantly restore all players in a party to 100% HP and, as of the version update on April 17th, 2006, the ability also removes all negative status ailments on party members. Since this is such a powerful heal, the ability creates a huge amount of enmity against the caster. Generally, the only ability that can create more enmity instantly is the Paladin ability Invincible. The ability is also infamous for superboss Absolute Virtue's access to it, as it could completely negate hours of battle if it used it late in the fight.
