The Precursor Civil War is the name given to a civil war fought between the Precursor Empire and various loosely organized groups of rebels most notably the Precursor Alliance and United Precursor Front over control of the empire for some 728 years, between the year 2563 and 3291. Originally, the breakaway movements started as disquiet against the monarchy's failure to exterminate humanity. After a few months of aggravating skirmishes, most groups began to use more forceful methods, eventually abandoning negotiations in favour of full scale military actions.
