| - King Yongchae of Gyokuk (b. 10 Oct 3532), also known as Ryeo Yongchae, was the fourth King of the Kyo and formerly served as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Dranland. Ryeo was also the Vice-Chairman of the Kyo Defense Force (KDF). King Yongchae abdicated on 6 July 3608 due to disagreements with the leaders of the Great Kyo Revolution. Yongchae earned a BA in Dovani Cultures and an MA in Jienist and Sindo Philosophy from Haejo University. As an undergraduate, Yongchae was a classmate of Sun Ryoji, with whom he became close friends. This friendship eventually brought about Yongchae's entrance into the leadership of the KDF at the invitation of Sun. The Crown Prince was elected to the Dranish Parliament in the January 3558 elections and shortly afterwards he was officially appointed, alongside Sun Ryoji, to the party leadership. In the following year, Ryeo Yongchae was appointed as the Dranish Foreign Minister in the Third Government of Hun Myon. Quickly into his term as Foreign Minister Ryeo was faced by escalating tensions with Egelion, which was in open dialogue with the radical Hacia Casa party, which was seeking to eliminate the Dranish state in favor of making it a Egelian colony. Ryeo carefully addressed the tensions, seeking to downplay the rhetoric and avoid rash actions that would only cause greater hostility from Egelion. When the Great Kyo Revolution of 3608 occurred, the leader of the revolution, Lee Dong-seung restored official recognition of the Kyo monarchy. Yongchae was asked to become the first modern king of a sovereign Kyo nation, but Yongchae refused due to disagreements with President Lee. As a result, Lee forced Yongchae to abdicate and the government coerced the rest of the royal family to cooperate with Lee. Yongchae's son, Crown Prince Jongki reluctantly cooperated and was crowned as Jongki III of Dankuk.
