44 Parachute Brigade is light role infantry brigade in the British Army. 44 Parachute Brigade was reformed at Tidworth, Wiltshire, England in the summer of 2000 as a light role infantry brigade. The brigade’s “Parachute” designation is currently moot, due to unavailability of aircraft, although new recruits must still pass P Company selection. The brigade moved to Warminster in early 2001. Brigade HQ and 10 PARA are based at Longleat, while 4 PARA and 15 PARA are based at Battlesbury Barracks.
