  • In the mirror universe, the dikironium cloud creature (also referred to as the "vampire cloud") was a semi-sentient gaseous predator that sustained itself by feeding of the corpuscules of iron-based blood until its prey died. The creature was given this name because of the most-common element that the creature was able to transform into, namely dikironium. In 2264, in revenge for being humiliated in front of the entire crew of the ISS Farragut by Captain Stephen Garrovick on more than one occasion, Lieutenant James T. Kirk arranged for Garrovick and two hundred of his crew to be killed by the creature. Kirk claimed that the night after the massacre was the best sleep he'd had in years.
