The Greater German Confederation is a nation in Europe, consisting of a 'federation' of sixteen German-speaking states, including Austria, Bavaria, Bohemia and the largest, Prussia. The Confederation was formed in 1953 after the collapse of the German monarchy - a brief period of separation was followed by the signing of the Confederation of Bremen, which federated the former states of the German empire into a republic with a strong federal government but considerable autonomy within each member state.
