  • Shub-Niggurath ist ein Mitglied der Großen Alten aus dem von H.P. Lovecraft geschaffenen Cthulhu-Mythos und ein Antagonist der Turtles in der Infestation-Storyreihe von IDW Publishing.
  • Shub-Niggurath (The Black Goat of the Woods with a Thousand Young) is an Outer God in the Cthulhu mythos of H.P. Lovecraft. The being first appeared in Lovecraft's revision story "The Last Test" (1928); however, in Lovecraft's fiction, she is never actually described, but is frequently mentioned or called upon in incantations. Shub-Niggurath also appears in the works of other mythos authors, including August Derleth, Lin Carter, and Brian Lumley.
  • Shub-Niggurath, "The Black Goat of the Woods with a Thousand Young", "Lord of the Wood", a deity (Outer God) in the Cthulhu Mythos. She is worshipped by the Tcho-Tchos and the natives of K'n-yan alongside other deities and perhaps also worshipped to some extent by the Migo as a Great Old One. She may be the consort of Hastur. • Shub-Nigguraths are somewhat dangerous and annoying enemies. They don't move normally but cast short teleport somewhat often (22.5%), which, together with their formidable toughness, makes them hard to kill. Offensively, they can melee (45%), cast summon monsters (10%), and use eye of insanity (22.5%). Because they don't move and don't have a ranged attack, its easy to run past them without fighting. Shub-Nigguraths are innately immune to fear. They have naturally superb resistance to mind.
  • The Outer God Shub-Niggurath, the All-Mother and wife of the Not-To-Be-Named-One, is the perverse fertility deity of the Cult of Shub-Niggurath and a known general of Quake's armies. Descriptions of this being vary, but she is often said to appear as an enormous cloudy mass which extrudes black tentacles, slime-dripping mouths, and short, writhing goat legs. Small creatures are spat forth, which are either reconsumed into the miasmatic form or escape to some monstrous life elsewhere.
  • Shub-Niggurath is one of the mysterious Outer Gods that exist beyond our basic dimensional space. She is said to appear as a cloudly, miasmatic mass who constantly creates and consumes smaller entities of various shapes and sizes. While little is known about the entity, she is one of the most widely worshiped beings in the Mythos, and this following is far from limited to mere humans.
  • August Derleth classified Shub-Niggurath as a Great Old One, but the Call of Cthulhu role-playing game classifies her as an Outer God. The CthulhuTech role-playing game, in turn, has returned to Derleth's classification of Shub-Niggurath as a Great Old One. She is a perverse fertility deity said to appear as an enormous cloudy mass which extrudes black tentacles, slime-dripping mouths, and short, writhing goat legs. Small creatures are spat forth, which are either reconsumed into the miasmatic form or escape to some monstrous life elsewhere.
  • Shub-Niggurath was an inhabitant of the previous universe named by Rassilon. (PROSE: Divided Loyalties) When that universe came to an end, she and others of her kind entered this universe, where they discovered that they were virtually omnipotent. Shub-Niggurath, who was pregnant at the time, gave birth on Polymos, thus giving rise to the Nestene Consciousness. The Sixth Doctor suggested that she died (PROSE: Synthespians™) but later cited her success conquering Polymos with her offspring as embarrassing her peer, Yog-Sothoth. (PROSE: Millennial Rites)
  • File:Quake1.gif Shub-Niggurath, codenamed Quake, is the absolute ruler of the Monsters in Quake's reality and the final boss of Quake. Shub-Niggurath is the mother of the monsters that roam the dimensions of Quake. She has spawned an army to invade Earth using the humans' own portal technology. She'd planned on using the four runes to cause such destruction but the runes were instead sought by the player, and were used to gain access to Shub-Niggurath's Pit to confront and kill the Witch-Goddess. She physically resembles a massive demonic tentacled creature, with three huge tendril-like limbs extending upwards from her bleeding central mass.
  • Shub-Niggurath, often associated with the phrase “The Black Goat of the Woods with a Thousand Young”, is a deity in the Cthulhu Mythos of H. P. Lovecraft. The creature is sometimes referred to as “The Black Ram of The Forest with a Thousand Ewes,” lending a male gender to the entity that is often thought of as female. August Derleth classified Shub-Niggurath as a Great Old One, but the Call of Cthulhu role-playing game classifies her as an Outer God. The CthulhuTech role-playing game, in turn, has returned to Derleth's classification of Shub-Niggurath as a Great Old One.
