| - Keola Greenmane had never imagined that she would ever do anything wrong. She tried her best to train and become a better druid, honor the Earthmother, respect others and help them where she could. She wasn't someone who hurt people, or did bad things, or speak horrible words (other than some really dumb questions). "I was healing-" "You needn't worry about him any longer. You are a Greenmane, Keola - your tribe has bred some of the finest druids on Azeroth. Why do you dishonor them?" "...why are you crying now?" He asked, nonchalant. "I'm scared and no body cares!" | - Keola Greenmane had never imagined that she would ever do anything wrong. She tried her best to train and become a better druid, honor the Earthmother, respect others and help them where she could. She wasn't someone who hurt people, or did bad things, or speak horrible words (other than some really dumb questions). She held her breath under the verbal onslaught. Ears down, her own tail tight in her grip...it was taking all she had not to burst out into tears. "You have a responsibility, young one. Don't disgrace your tribe. You should be assisting the expeditions into Naxxramas by now! And you're still gallivanting around Outland with that..that..that elf!" "I was healing-" "You needn't worry about him any longer. You are a Greenmane, Keola - your tribe has bred some of the finest druids on Azeroth. Why do you dishonor them?" "Honor people who left me for dead instead of waking me up and taking me with them?!" Keola squeaked in defiance. "You are Keola Greenmane. You are of the Greenmane tribe. It is your responsibility to live up to that distinction." Loganaar berated her again. Keola felt her shoulders slump. She was never going to win the argument with the elder druid. What was so special about being from family of powerful druids? Maybe she should have picked up a shield and been a warrior instead. Or played with totems. Then maybe it wouldn't be such a big deal. She hadn't realized she'd actually shed tears until the handkerchief was put in front of her nose. She wiped the tears away quickly, but couldn't hold back a sob. "...why are you crying now?" He asked, nonchalant. "I'm scared and no body cares!" Keola wailed. "You should be. It's natural to be. Why are you crying?" Loganaar asked again. "Outland was scary enough, and it was really hard. My shoulder is going to ache forever, and it's not because I didn't heal it good! Northrend is only going to be harder, and worse. You expect me to go all alone? I'm a healer, not a fighter!" The druid trainer sighed and rested a hand on her scarred left shoulder. "Perhaps you are right. You wouldn't last very long in the cold of Northrend with that attitude. Maybe you should give up Keola. I am sure your family can find another healer worthy enough to stand beside them in battle. I am sure they are supporting you, to have you to run away and abandon them." "Master Koutetsu would understand," Keola said slowly. "Miss Lite and Master Wargard and Mister Hegal and everyone would understand..." "Would they?" He stepped back and folded his arms across his chest. "Would they understand when they are dying, cold and alone against the forces of evil? No, I guess only they would forgive you for that." Keola dabbed at her eyes again, and sighed. She would lose the argument on all fronts, as always. She asked weakly "When is the next zeppelin to Warsong Hold?" Tags: Keola
