In 2010 Renfrewshire council decided that Arkleston Court was to be demolished in line with the Gallowhill redevloptment project. The demolition of the building was halted on several occasions when it's last remaining resident refused to leave. After lengthy court proceedings the building was eventually demolished in late 2014
