New York Undercover is a one-hour police drama that ran on the Fox Broadcasting Company network from 1994 to 1998. During the first three seasons of the show, it featured several R&B and hip hop songs for its soundtrack and each episode during those three seasons began with a montage of scenes leading up to the crime to be investigated. This plot method was later dropped in the fourth season.

Blige, Teena Marie, Aaliyah, George Benson, Tevin Campbell, George Clinton, Johnny Gill, Monifah, New Edition, Xscape, the Temptations and many more. On June 25, 1998, "New York Undercover" ended after four seasons and 89 episodes.
