| - by user RobertRouse I recently saw one of our local conservatives admit to something I've suspected for some time now. He left a comment on a different blog that, we as a country are " morally superior " to the rest of the world and that gives us a right to exert our will on the world as we like. This goes a long way toward explaining why conservatives seem to think the world of Ann Coulter. Conservative Republicans honestly believe they are better than everyone else, ergo, they have a right to treat everyone else however they like. Locally, they tend to use words like "leftard" to describe Democrats. It's just like high school all over again. They have a little clique and if you don't fit in with their mold, not only are you excluded, you are denigrated. It makes them feel even more superior. Yesterday, Coulter was speaking at the Conservative Political Action Conference when she said, " I was going to have a few comments on the other Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards, but it turns out you have to go into rehab if you use the word 'faggot,' so I — so kind of an impasse, can’t really talk about Edwards ". This remark was met with thunderous applause. That's right, they love this woman and her hate-filled diatribes. Morally superior? This woman, who professes to be a Christian has used the derogatory term before. Once, Chris Matthews of "Hardball" asked her if Bill Clinton was gay. She responded, " I don't know if he's gay. But Al Gore -- total fag." After 9/11, she had this to say about Arabs. " We should invade their countries, kill their leaders and convert them to Christianity." Morally superior? I don't think so. __NOEDITSECTION__ From The Opinion Wiki, a Wikia wiki. From The Opinion Wiki, a Wikia wiki.
