- Purifiers are an elite group of Protoss that have studied far into the forbidden disciplines of the Void. Purifiers ride on Hoverboards and wield a ranged weapon which fires arcing beams of plasma.

- Purifier is a synthesized item in Atelier Rorona: The Alchemist of Arland. The recipe book that contains the recipe for Purifier is located in a chest on the second floor of Orthogalaxen, which cannot be accessed until Year 3. It requires a high alchemy level to make. It can be used in battle to increase a party member's attack and hit rate. It can be registered at Pamela's Shop using wholesale. Esty may request this from the castle as a possible Front Quest.
- The Purifiers are an ancient robotic race created by the protoss.
- The sword has it's origins from when Dyan and Shiro met with the Taiki. After he was purified by Sister, Dyan was temporarily granted the purification powers of the now dead Taiki, which he proceeded to use on Shiro in order to restore the Shinigami who had been reduced to crazed, Hollowfied-like being of evil, to his normal Shinigami state. The "purification" energy remained within Shiro and Dyan, and Shiro discovered it, and extracted the energy to seal it within a single katana, creating the "Purifier", as he so aptly named it.
- The Purifier is a gargantuan walker and a weapon of incredible mass destruction belonging to the Hierarchy. It is only able to be built in a global scenario game and can only be used in tactical combat if an enemy invades the territory it is in.
- Purifier +4 is an enchanted bastard sword which can only be used by Paladins. It deals 2d4 +4 points of damage with +4 additional points of damage against chaotic evil aligned creatures, has a -4 THAC0 bonus, weighs 6 lbs and it has a speed factor of 4. Also, the weapon gives the wielder 20% magical resistance. This item appears in Baldur's Gate II: Throne of Bhaal and Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition.
- The rune-covered heavy mace "Purifier" is a random artifact weapon. As well as being significantly powerful for a one-handed weapon it has three slaying powers, which is very rare for weapons (even the elusive Trident of the Red Rooster has but two). In addition, it grants luck and increases Willpower.
- Its development was commenced after brother Marcion, in a pitched Second Tiberium War urban battle against GDI forces, noted how his presence on the battlefield (along with the improvised flamethrower he used to clear GDI trenches) had an inspiring effect on the brothers that fought alongside him. The Purifier was constructed to recreate Marcion's iconic feat, in the form of a giant walking humanoid spouting flames, with a subliminal messaging system inspiring infantry near it. All in all, despite being older and more crude than the Avatar, the Purifier Warmech is anything but obsolete.

| - Whilst there are some better weapons than this in terms of raw damage, Purifier is still considerably powerful. It can be used with a shield, allowing for great offence and defence. Its most desirable property, perhaps, is its slaying powers — demon slaying alone is very desirable due to the overall strength of the demon class , undead and unlife slaying makes it all the better. Unlife slaying is particularly rare, and together with undead slaying, this weapon basically slays all monsters that can be *destroyed* .
In addition to these powers, Purifier grants good luck , and raises Willpower by 4. The Willpower boost is perhaps not incredibly significant for many melee-orientated classes, but may help spellcasters reach the coveted 32 Willpower mark. Furthermore, the willpower boost combined with its choice of slaying powers would surely make a Mindcrafter very happy if they should find the weapon.
All in all, Purifier is a very nice weapon for almost any PC if it can be found. Its only minor drawbacks are its rather hefty weight for a weapon, and its DV penalty.
