The unnamed Lorry Driver was a customer in Jim's Cafe in April 1982 when Mavis Riley was upset at her treatment from Alma Sedgewick and was telling Gail Tilsley that the establishment attracted a rough sort of clientele. As if to prove her point, the driver pinched Mavis's bottom as he passed her by. A moment later, he tried the old and cheesy chat-up line on Gail of "where have you been all my life?" and she responded with the traditional "avoiding you" answer.
