| - Deriac Besadii Pooki, alias Deriac the Hutt, alias Lola Harfinzyn, alias Gardulla the Younger, was a Hutt smuggler of the Besadii kajidic. Deriac was born in 213 BBY on Nal Hutta. He was the offspring of Gupa Besadii Pooki. He was a trained cook and synchronized swimmer. He stood 2 meters tall, was 5 meters long, and massed 682 kilograms. He had yellow-orange eyes and bluish-black skin. In 34 BBY, Deriac and Gupa were framed by the Desilijic kajidic for a crime committed by Jabba Desilijic Tiure. Deriac was put in jail on Prison-99 by the Galactic Republic, but freed by bounty hunters Odogoth and Basrin, hired by Borga Besadii Diori. Deriac then teamed up with the bounty hunters and was constantly being targeted by Desilijic assassins. In a ridiculous fraud, Deriac became female from 33 to 26 BBY, posing as Trade Federation Eecutive Lola Harfinzyn and reaping a substantial portion of the Federation's profit. In 32 BBY, Deriac—posing as Lola—married a Federation sales manager, ate him on their honeymoon, took over his belongings, and enslaved his son, Cinderelmo. In 28 BBY, Deriac, Odogoth, and Basrin went on numerous bounty hunts. Unfortunately, Odogoth stumbled upon secrets of the Sith. The Sith sent him an alchemy-message code, which caused him to begin to evolve first into a giant fish and then into a droid starfighter. Odogoth was captured by a Dark Jedi scientist in the service of Darth Tyranus, but Deriac and Basrin rescued him aboard a space train with the help of Yoda and Bunting. Yoda accompanied the three bounty hunters to Korriban to retrieve information on alchemy, which they took to Lasat Station. There, Jedi scientist Ta'uw'ishye was able to reverse the alchemical evolution. In 26 BBY, Cinderelmo discovered that his "stepmother" was actually a Hutt and exposed him to the Trade Federation. The Federation placed a bounty on Deriac, Odogoth, and Basrin, who sought sanctuary on Lasat Station. In 15 BBY, the three bounty hunters, as well as Odogoth's wife Nemeir, joined Mama's Resistance, where Deriac became an infantry trooper. Working for the resistance, they infiltrated Coruscant itself. However, the following year Deriac was discharged from the Resistance for eating a superior officer. In 12 BBY, Deriac bought his own asteroid and built a gravity tube through it. From 11 to 7 BBY, he occupied himself "flying" back and forth through the tube. In 6 BBY, Odogoth hired Deriac as Treasurer of New Temple. In 13 ABY, Deriac assumed the identity "Gardulla the Younger," claiming to be the long lost child of the famed Gardulla. As Gardulla the Younger, Deriac became a high-ranking crimelord in the Besadii kajidic, based in New Temple, and served as advisor to Borga during the Yuuzhan Vong War. Deriac's possessions included a golden finger ring, a dead Ewok he used as a hat, a Drall Ag Cooperative suite, a chromium armband, a krayt pearl, an equimu named Lomin-ale, a pilot droid named Beuregard, the Harfinzyn Manor, a one-year pass to the High Faluting Cafe, a hair comb, and the Lola disguise. Deriac sported a Besadii tattoo. Deriac could speak Huttese, Basic, Gamorrese, Ryl, Rodese, Sullustese, Gran, and Ewokese.
