Cheryl's torn, not wanting to hurt Lloyd. Fiz takes Hope to see John in hospital. Hope cries and John's eyes flicker with recognition as he regains consciousness. Though clearly in a lot of pain, John makes a statement to the police, telling them how Fiz had nothing to do with the death of Colin Fishwick. Mary's still seething over Sylvia knowing that the cruise should have been hers. Norris tries but fails to calm her down. Mary calls Sylvia an ocean-going cheat. It's water off a duck's back with Sylvia who carries on writing out her holiday list. Fiz forgives John and tells him that despite everything he's done, she'll always love him. John, choked with emotion, holds baby Hope closely. Chris tells Russ that he and Cheryl are getting back together and soon they'll be a family again. Russ is thrilled. John finally dies and Fiz sobs uncontrollably.
